The style of this wine is perhaps our Winery’s most personal. Its atypical nature, free from any rules and regulations, renders it different, special, unique and hard to replicate.
Vintage: For the 2016 vintage we had two barrels of Manto Negro from our own vineyard that aged separately before blending them with other varieties as we usually do to produce our AVA Selección. After 6 months of ageing we realised that the evolution of each of these two barrels was quite different. One of them was typically Manto Negro (sweet spices, ripe plum
and slightly dry tannins), while the other, its sister barrel (which became AVANERO) took on a completely different personality. The wine was new to us, with a predominance of fresh red fruit (red cherry, Morello cherry and hints of bergamot) and unique character, so we decided to bottle it separately, unfiltered, in an effort to preserve its singularity.

TASTING

Cherry red with tones of medium garnet, clean and bright.
Aromas of red fruits and cherry stone.
Well-balanced with pure fruit and remarkable freshness. Medium to long pleasant finish.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: Around 18ºC.
FOOD PAIRING:Stewed beef cheeks and casseroles
