Thomas Neumann, a successful German businessman, decided to make his dream come true and acquired the estate in 2007, with the aim of producing high quality wine and exploiting the more creative side of his personality. He has surrounded himself with a good team of highly committed professionals and together they face the many challenges of a project of this kind.
VINEYARD AND WINERY
Tomeu Llabrés, from Binissalem (Mallorca), is an oenologist and agricultural engineer. The son of a wine grower, he has taken over the technical management of AVA Vi, contributing his exhaustive knowledge of native grape varieties and his experience in working in a number of prestigious wineries both on the island and on mainland Spain, and seeks to produce highly balanced and very complex wines.
FROM THE WINERY TO THE CUSTOMER
Julio Torres is a renowned sommelier who has lived in Majorca for over 30 years, Technical Director of the ABS [Balearic Association of Sommeliers] and professor at the EHIB Hospitality School of the Balearic Islands.
He brings his global outlook to the project, based on his many years’ experience working in hospitality, distribution and Spanish and international wineries. Along with this vast experience, he contributes his passion for both obsolete and experimental indigenous grape varieties.
